External Link: John Oliver Crashes the FCC for Net Neutrality

Daily Show alumnus John Oliver, who now hosts HBO's "Last Week Tonight," crashed the FCC's comment system after encouraging viewers to pelt the commission with comments about its latest "net neutrality" proposal, which would enable "fast lanes" for content providers who pay ISPs. The FCC's comment system was down for much of the day on 2 June 2014, but still managed to log 1,414 comments about the proposed regulations.
