An email released this week put the spotlight once again on the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, showing that the White House wanted to shape the way Susan E. Rice, then the ambassador to the United Nations, would discuss the violence. In response, House Republicans announced plans to form a committee to examine whether the Obama administration misled Congress about the attack.

On “Fox News Sunday,” Senator Kelly Ayotte, Republican of New Hampshire, and Representative Adam B. Schiff, Democrat of California, will give their thoughts on the newly released email. Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, will also discuss Benghazi on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Representative Jason Chaffetz, Republican of Utah, Anita Dunn, former White House communications director, and the singer Will.i.am, an Obama supporter, will join a round-table discussion to debate the issue on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Violence intensified in southern Ukraine as dozens of people were killed in Odessa on Friday during a street battle between pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian groups. Senator Ron Johnson, Republican of Wisconsin, and Representative Eliot Engel, Democrat of New York, who both recently visited Ukraine, will discuss the crisis there on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

This week, the National Basketball Association announced a lifetime ban from the sport for Donald Sterling, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, who was recorded making racist comments. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the former N.B.A. star, will discuss the decision on ABC’s “This Week.” Senator Al Franken, Democrat of Minnesota, will also appear on the program.

Mayor Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles will talk about Mr. Sterling’s comments and the lifetime ban on both CBS and Univision’s “Al Punto.”

Kevin Johnson, the mayor of Sacramento and a former N.B.A. player who pushed to have Mr. Sterling banned, will also weigh in on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Gov. Rick Perry, Republican of Texas, will also appear on the show to talk about his political future and the implications of the botched execution in Oklahoma has for the death penalty in the United States.

A new jobs report was also released this week, showing growth in new jobs and payrolls. Fred Smith, chairman and C.E.O. of FedEx, and Robert Wolf, founder and C.E.O. of 32 Advisors, a strategy firm, will break down how they see the numbers on “Fox News Sunday.”

On CSPAN’s “Newsmakers,” Senator John Hoeven, Republican of North Dakota, will talk about the Keystone XL pipeline.

Representative Bob Goodlatte, Republican of Virginia and chairman of the House Judiciary committee, will appear on Univision’s “Al Punto” to discuss the chances of immigration reform passing this year. Vicente Fox, former president of Mexico, will also be on the show to talk about the capture of Joaquín Guzmán Loera, known as El Chapo, a notorious drug trafficker, earlier this year.

Representatives Joe Garcia, Democrat of Florida, and Jeff Denham, Republican of California, will both appear on Telemundo’s “Enfoque,” which airs at noon Eastern.

On Bloomberg’s “Political Capital,” Anthony Foxx, the secretary of transportation, explained how he plans to fix the diminishing highway trust fund.
