The Google Maps app for Android includes an âofflineâ feature that lets you store a map on your phone for those times when your data signal is weak or nonexistent.
To save an open map on the phone, press the Menu button and choose âMake available offline.â Select the area of the map you want to save by pinching or zooming to it, then press Done. You can find your saved map in Google Maps by selecting My Places and then Offline.
