The Florida Republican will appear on the five major Sunday shows, as well as the programs on Telemundo and Univision.
Senator Joe Manchin III, Democrat of West Virginia, and Senator Patrick J. Toomey, Republican of Pennsylvania, will join CNN’s “State of the Union†and CBS’s “Face the Nation.†The pair moved the conversation about guns forward last week after coming to a compromise on expanding background checks. Mark E. Kelly will be on CBS, discussing the anti-gun violence campaign he’s undertaken with his wife, Gabrielle Giffords.
Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, will discuss North Korea on CNN.
In addition to Mr. Rubio, each party’s No. 2 in the Senate â€" John Cornyn, Republican of Texas, and Richard J. Durbin, Democrat of Illinois and another member of the so-called Gang of Eight â€" will join “Fox News Sunday†to discuss immigration and the other major issues before Congress.
Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, the ranking Republican on the Budget Committee, and Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York and another member of the Gang of Eight, will also be on ABC’s “This Week.†They will weigh in on immigration, guns and the budget.
Plus, Representative Robert W. Goodlatte of Virginia, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and Representative Luis V. Gutierrez, Democrat of Illinois and a member of the House’s bipartisan group on immigration, will join ABC’s roundtable.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat of New York, and Senator Mike Lee of Utah, one of the Republicans who threatened to filibuster the Congressional debate over guns, will be on NBC’s “Meet the Press,†arguing the merits of pending gun legislation.
Senator Robert Menendez, Democrat of New Jersey who is also in the Gang of Eight, will join Mr. Rubio on Univision’s “Al Punto†Sunday at 10 a.m. Eastern. Mr. Gutierrez and Representative Mario Diaz-Balart, Republican of Florida and Mr. Gutierrez’s colleague in the House’s bipartisan group on immigration, will also be on the program.
Senator Michael Bennet, Democrat of Colorado and another member of the Gang of Eight, will join Mr. Rubio on Telemundo’s “Enfoque†at noon Eastern.
Bloomberg’s “Political Capital†had Senator Carl Levin, Democrat of Michigan, on Friday. Repeats of the program air throughout the weekend.
Representative Buck McKeon of California, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, tells C-Span’s “Newsmakers†what he thinks about President Obama’s proposed defense budget.
On Bloomberg’s “Capitol Gains†Sunday at noon Eastern, Timothy J. Mayopoulos, president and chief executive of Fannie Mae, talks about the state of his company. Then Richard L. Trumka, president of the A.F.L.-C.I.O., will discuss immigration reform and the president’s approach to entitlements.
Angela Davis, activist and subject of a new documentary called “Free Angela and All Political Prisoners,†will join TV One’s “Washington Watch†Sunday at 11 a.m. Eastern. Also on the program will be Jada Pinkett Smith, the actress and a producer of the film, and Will Smith, the actor.
